We have designed our KS3 curriculum to offer a diverse range of subjects that blend the salon sector with the essential knowledge and skills from core subjects. This approach provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the industry, while allowing them to showcase their creative, raw talents and truly flourish.
Life skills play a crucial role within the salon environment, often underestimated but essential for success. It is important that we integrate these skills into our curriculum to ensure that our young people gain a clear understanding of money management, healthy personal and professional relationships, and effective teamwork. Additionally, we embed aspects of personal safety, British Values, and P.R.E.V.E.N.T. at the heart of all our programs, helping to create well-rounded individuals who are prepared for both their careers and their personal lives.

All our students are awarded with AQA certificates, celebrating their personal and educational progression
We work from a salon simulated environment as well as classroom space. Meaning students are able to hone their skills in an environment that replicates a salon.
We always include self care within our curriculum. Our students are appointed a personal mentor to support them whilst studying with EVJ Aspire.
Students have the opportunity to progress to OFQUAL regulated qualifications in KS4 in an environment and staff they are familiar with.
Students’ work is recognised and rewarded with AQA Unit Award Scheme Certificates, acknowledging their achievements and progress in various areas of learning. This provides them with a tangible recognition of their efforts and helps build their confidence and motivation.
