KYLIE...
Hello, I’m Kylie – a fully qualified makeup artist and beautician with a specialisation in prom and wedding hair. I embarked on my career in the salon industry at just 16, and since then, my passion for makeup and beauty has only grown stronger. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working on a variety of photography shoots and providing personalised services to a diverse clientele across the country, each experience enriching my craft.
My dedication to the industry inspired me to share my expertise through education, and in 2022 I proudly joined EVJ to help nurture and develop future talent. In addition to my work with EVJ, I actively contribute to the community by delivering self-care classes in schools, where I guide high school students through essential skincare and makeup techniques. During my half-term holidays, I also organise engaging hair and makeup workshops for under-16s, offering them a creative space to explore their potential.
I truly believe in empowering young people to build their confidence and self-esteem, and I am passionate about showing them that they can achieve great things in this dynamic and creative industry.

TRACY
Hello, I’m Tracy. My career in the salon sector began right after I left school at 16, and since then, I have developed into a fully qualified Hair Stylist, Barber, Nail Technician, and Beautician. While I enjoy a broad range of services, I have a particular passion for working with hair and nails, which remain my favourite specialties. Over the years, I’ve witnessed trends come and go, only to re-emerge later. Keeping my work dynamic and always challenging.
In 2019, I took a significant step by joining EVJ, where I began sharing my expertise with students. This role not only allowed me to pass on the skills I’ve honed over many years but also provided an opportunity to elevate my teaching credentials by becoming a qualified assessor. And now working towards becoming a qualified in Internal Quality Assurance. Outside of the classroom, I continue to work in a salon environment, mentoring apprentices and former students as they further develop their talents.
I am deeply committed to educating young people and am passionate about empowering those who might feel overlooked. My own journey took an important turn when I was diagnosed with ADHD in recent years. This experience taught me that learning and absorbing information can happen in diverse ways, and I have since developed strategies that support me in daily life. I now share these strategies with my students, helping them navigate both academic challenges and emotional hurdles. Through my work, I strive to inspire confidence and foster a supportive environment where every student can excel.

ANGELA...
Hello, I’m Angela. I’m a fully qualified beautician, nail technician, and aesthetician, and I’ve dedicated my career to the salon industry ever since I left school. In 2014, I transitioned into education at the university level, eager to share my knowledge and passion with the next generation of beauty professionals.
While I offer a wide range of services, my true passion lies in skin care and the detailed study of the skin’s anatomy and physiology. In 2016, I joined EVJ as an internal quality assurer, where I work diligently to ensure that every student receives top-tier education. In this role, I also support our assessors in developing ambitious curricula that not only meet but exceed the standards set by our awarding bodies. Since 2024, I have expanded my responsibilities at EVJ to include direct classroom teaching. This allows me to ensure that students master the hands-on skills essential in the salon sector while also acquiring the comprehensive theoretical knowledge needed for professional success.
In addition to my core teaching duties, I provide extensive wrap-around support through supplementary classes that cover customer service and business skills. These initiatives are designed to facilitate a smooth transition for our students into further education and future employment, ensuring they are fully prepared to excel in the competitive world of beauty and wellness.

Sadie...
Hello, I’m Sadie. After leaving school, I pursued a degree in chemistry, which laid a solid foundation for my lifelong passion for science. Throughout my academic journey, I tutored GCSE students and taught chemistry and general science classes at school, nurturing a love for learning in young minds. My background in chemistry sparked a keen interest in the chemical components of beauty products, ultimately leading me to study beauty therapy. During this qualification, I discovered the transformative power of wellness through massage, which inspired me to delve deeper by studying massage therapy at an advanced level.
This shift allowed me to transition from working with synthetic chemicals to embracing natural products, aligning my scientific expertise with a holistic approach to beauty and well-being. I originally joined EVJ as an adult student in 2021 and have been actively involved ever since. Today, I channel my enthusiasm for science and holistic wellness into my role as an assessor, where I passionately teach both young people and adults. I focus on guiding my students to develop internally and emotionally through holistic treatments, introducing them to grounding techniques and the benefits of embracing our natural environment. I believe these practices not only enhance individual well-being but also positively impact those around us. Despite the sometimes messy process, I remain a devoted advocate for science, always excited by the prospect of creating natural beauty products with my students.
